All the patients in the VA hospital where
Malcolm works are over-medicated. (Bob Hoy)
When Malcolm stops their medicine, the
veterans come back to life
Malcolm feels responsible for
his under-age brother Reese's enlistment in the army. To ease his guilty feelings he
volunteers at the local veterans hospital (Bob plays a patient). Here
Malcolm
finds the patients so overly medicated that they are hardly more than
clueless statues. Deciding that these men deserve better, he keeps their
sedatives from them. A riot breaks out as the patients seem to
happily turn back into the fighters they undoubtedly once were.
